The purpose of the Group is to promote communication and mutual support between the Scottish NHS Services for the provision of wheelchairs, seating and associated devices.
It is intended that this will help the services continually improve, to be more integrated and consistent across Scotland, supporting common research, development and training programmes.
The Group also provides the means of representing the needs and opinions of these Services to other Rehabilitation Technology Services, Service Users, Manufacturers, Scottish Government and associated government agencies.
Membership of the Group is multidisciplinary and drawn from each of the Scottish Centres
for the NHS provision of Wheelchairs and Seating
