Orthotic Services

The Orthotic services across Scotland are not always based in the main rehabilitation centres, but those that use ReTIS are listed below.

  • The SMART (South east Mobility and Rehabilitation Technology) Centre is based in the Astley Ainslie Hospital, Edinburgh and serves patients primarily from NHS Lothian, but also some from NHS Fife, NHS Borders and NHS Forth Valley.

  • In Tayside the TORT (Tayside Orthopaedic & Rehabilitation Technology) Centre looks after patients in NHS Tayside, NHS Fife and NHS Orkney.

  • MARS (Mobility and Rehabilitation Service) is based in Woodend Hospital, Aberdeen and serves patients from NHS Grampian and NHS Shetland.

The centres named above are using the ReTIS software on a daily basis, with Inverness hoping to adopt the ReTIS software in 2021. There is currently no national Orthotic reporting available.
